5 Tips for Creating a Fall Tablescape
It’s that time of year, when we start transitioning our summer decor to fall decor. The fall season is always fun since it brings elements of comfy and cozy back into the home. A quick and easy way to add “fall” into your home is with a tablescape. Super easy and always makes a table look inviting. Sharing my TOP 5 tips for creating a fall tablescape.
5 Tips for Creating a Fall Tablescape
Color or Print
Selecting a color or print that you would like to be prominent is an important step.I guess this would be considered the “theme” of your table. For this table I decided on black gingham and a splash of red.
Repurpose Items
I’m a big believer of saving money wherever you can and repurposing what you currently have in your home is a great way to do that.Take inventory of what you already own and think of different ways to use them. Like the way I use my dessert cloche to display apples.
Keep it Simple
This sometimes is a hard step for many of us. Try not to over think things and remember to keep it simple. Consider the basics such as plates, napkins, plate chargers, silverware, napkin rings and then pull it all together with the items you are repurposing (previous tip).
The only two things I purchased new for this fall tablscape were the napkin ring holders and black gingham napkins.
Texture
This tip is sometimes overlooked but its what gives your table the depth needed to make it stand out.The seagrass chargers, birch logs and napkin rings help give the table dimension. Almost making the table come alive. Consider texture with your tablescapes.
Earth Elements
I don’t know much about Feng Shui but I do know earth elements add a layer of calmness. I call it the “glue” in home decor or home decorating. Earth elements such as seagrass chargers, birch logs, candles, apples or twinkle lights can pull the look together.
Now that you have some tips to try I wanted to also share two of my favorite fall recipes, Crockpot Autumn Sangria and Pumpkin Spice Cookies.
Let me know if you try them!
Hope this post inspires you for fall.
