Tips To Elevate Your Neutral Fall Table Decor
Posted Sept. 2020 / Updated June 2024

Fall is that time of year when everything feels warm, inviting, and cozy. I love to translate that feeling into my neutral fall table decor. If you like to keep things simple, and clean, here are some of my favorite fall table decor tips that you may find helpful.
What to use for a neutral fall table decor?
This is when you should let your personal style shine. Think of the things that stick out to you. Do you like clean lines, metals, or prints? Creating a neutral fall table doesn’t have to be boring. Stick to a specific neutral color palette and add elements like tapered candles, greenery, and delicate prints to give your table setting that touch of class and elegance without it being over the top. I use these artificial silver dollar eucalyptus leaves with willow leaves garland all year round. It’s great as a decor filler and so versatile.

How can I decorate for fall inexpensively?
You may be asking yourself how you can decorate a table inexpensively and staying within a budget. First thing I would do is look around your home and see what you currently have. Add one or two new things to freshen up the look. For example for this table, I had most of the items at home.

Other ways to save money:
-Head outdoors and cut fresh flowers or greenery to add to your neutral fall table decor. Can never go wrong with free.;)
-Adding elements of texture or layering your pieces, instantly adds a nice wow factor to your table. Don’t be afraid to double up on your plate chargers. It’s what I did for this table setting.
-Use things around the house in a different way. Like a mirror as the base of a centerpiece, or a water pitcher to hold your fall flowers or greenery. Twine can be used to cinch your napkin in the center.
How to think outside the box?
Typically in the fall, most of us think of buffalo check or plaid prints. I wouldn’t say polka dot print is the first thing that comes to mind for fall. But I love how these black and white polka dot napkins tie in this whole look. Gives the table a whimsical feel without being too over the top and still looking refined. The print is very neutral and the black polka dots create eye interest in the table.

This is one of my favorite cutting boards from Flab Slab. I used it to serve apples and crackers. It helped to give the table a nice earthy feel. This board is fantastic for several reasons.
- Camphor Laurel cutting boards are hygienic for all food
- Unlike other wood cutting boards, these are made from one solid slab of timber.
- The tight grains and natural color make it a highly durable cutting board.
- The natural oils and tight grains allow this tropical hardwood to repel moisture, warping, and microbes

I also love my Tuxton Home items. They are my must-have favorite kitchen essentials for fall hosting/cooking. The wine caddy plates are amazing for serving appetizers before a meal and leave your guests hands-free while they nibble on food and mingle. They are super heavy duty and the wine glass fitness nicely into the crevasse that holds the glass. I have used other plates in the past but they were flimsy and the wine glass didn’t feel like it was secure.
The duratux loaf pan is one of my favorites. You can use it in the freezer, for baking, broiling, and even caramelizing! I use it to make oat bran turkey meatloaf in it. The best part is that it can go start from the oven to the table. The pan is so beautiful and classic.

When should you decorate for fall?
Well for brands and businesses, like myself, we start sharing fall inspiration early in September to help provide readers the opportunity and time to get things together to plan out their season. Typically most people start decorating in late September or early October. But don’t forget I am not one who believes in strict decorating rules. I say if it makes you happy, do it!

Decorating should be fun, creative, and a way to express yourself. Follow your likes in products and use some of the inspiration you see here (or on social media) to help give you ideas for your own home and space.
