Family Friendly Houston Resort- Woodlands, TX

Since I became a mom I quickly learned that traveling with 3 children is completely different than traveling alone or with your significant other.

Traveling with a family, does involve extra planning and thoughtful consideration on accommodations. All sorts of things need to be considered and today I’m sharing my family staycation at a family friendly Houston resort. Located in the Woodlands, TX.

The Woodlands Resort

We have lived in Houston, TX for 5 years and it was our family’s first time at The Woodlands Resort. As soon as we made the turn from the main road onto the property, I knew instantly it was going to be a great weekend.

The resort sits on 28,000 wooded acres. The grounds are well manicured and beautiful. On the property you will find a 36 hole golf course, a spa, dining options, and a lazy river and waterpark.

Things To Do

The resort has a ton to offer as far as things to do. If you are the active type, you can enjoy year round activities such as watersports, biking, golf and tennis.

If you are looking to relax during your stay, the resort has a great spa, a lazy river to float on and you can also rent a luxury poolside cabana to read a book or take a nap all while be outdoors.

Dining Options

You don’t even have to leave the resort to have all sorts of dining options. Room service is available along with the below restaurants.

Robard’s- a luxury steakhouse that over looks the golf course and is only open for dinner.

The Woodlands Dining Room- Offers an array of menu options along with a buffet. Along with beautiful lakeside views

The Bistro Restaurant- Casual lounge dining experience with lakeside views. They also have multiple TV’s mounted so that you can watch the game.

Cool Water Cafe- enjoy cocktails and kids menu options poolside. Great option with family and small kids.
