DIY-Halloween Cat Costume less than $5!

Today I’m sharing an easy DIY-Halloween Cat Costume that is less than $5 to make! Perfect for an adult or child. With 3 kids and a hectic schedule, this DIY is right up my alley. Simple and easy, sign me up!

Ok, let’s get crafting!

What You Will Need

Black headband- (found one at the Dollar Tree)

Black Felt- (found at Walmart in their craft aisle)

Pink Felt- (found at Walmart in their craft aisle)

Chalk- (for marking felt)

Hot Glue Gun

Scissors

Steps to Make the DIY-Halloween Cat Costume

1)Clear out an area so that you can lay out your materials. I use my kitchen island often and lay down a poster board so I don’t get hot glue on the counter

2)Next fold black felt so that it creates a double layer

3)Use chalk to trace two triangles (see below)

4)Take your scissors and cut the double-layer triangles. (see picture below)

5)Take your pink felt and cut out two smaller triangles that will fit nicely in the black triangle (see image below)

6)Take the black felt “double triangle” and only glue one side of one triangle (see image below for better instruction)

7)Place the headband at the crease, fold one side of the “double triangle” up, and press the non-glue side to the glue side. Repeat for the other “double triangle”

8)Take one of the pink felt triangles and hot glue on the side. Press it onto one of the cat ears. Repeat for the other pink felt triangle.

9)Viola! You are done!

Finish Off the Look

This is the fun part. You can be creative with whatever you already have at home. Wear all black or a furry collared sweater. For makeup, I used white eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, and eyeliner to create the cat face.
