Easy Roast Crockpot Recipe with Keto Option
With a busy schedule, sometimes it’s super hard to get something healthy on the table for my family. For anyone who can relate, wanted to share this easy crockpot recipe, that also can be part of a Keto lifestyle.
Easy Crockpot Recipe
INGREDIENTS
2-3lbs Roast (sirloin tip roast)
1 Packet of Au Jus seasoning packet (found in gravy section of the store)
1 Packet of Hidden Ranch Seasoning (found in salad dressing aisle)
1 Stick of Unsalted Butter (since the au jus and hidden ranch seasonings have high sodium doing unsalted in preferred)
1 bag of shredded cheese (Mexican blend is our family’s )
12 Rolls/Wraps
DIRECTIONS
*Remove roast from packaging and place roast with fat side up, in a medium sized crockpot.
*Open up au jus packet and sprinkle over the roast. Do the same with Hidden Ranch Seasoning packet(sprinkle over meat).
*Remove wrapper from stick of butter and place stick on top of seasonings and roast.
*Cook on LOW heat for 8-10 hours.
*The meat will be very tender when done cooking. Use two forks to pull meat apart in opposite directions to “shred” meat.
Alley’s Note: Once cooked, you will be amazed at the amount of juice the meat and butter will make (which is why you don’t add any to start)
3 WAYS TO SERVE
- You can serve on rolls/wraps (which makes the recipe great to make ahead of time for a tailgate/party)
- Serve meat on its own, with a veggie and another side
- For a keto friendly option- you can serve it on a lettuce leaf.
