Easy Sunday Dinner Meatball Recipe

A few weeks ago I posted on my Insta-stories our Sunday Meatball Dinner. Had so many people ask me about it that I decided to write a blog post. Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family 🙂

Ingredients:

2lbs of Ground Bison

4 Eggs

1 cup of Italian Seasoned Breadcrumbs

1/2 cup of Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese

2 Tablespoons of Minced Fresh Basil

2 Tablespoons of Minced Fresh Parsley

1 Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

1 Teaspoon of Texas Brisket Seasoning

Salt and Pepper (I only used pepper since Pecorino Romano grated cheese has a lot of salt in it already)

2 Jars of Tomato Sauce (Use better quality sauce, will taste better)

2 Tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 Tablespoons of Minced Onion

2 Tablespoons of Minced Carrots

2 Tablespoons of Minced  Celery

EASY MEATBALL RECIPE

First: Beat eggs. Then add garlic powder, onion powder, Texas brisket seasoning, minced basil, minced parsley and salt and pepper.

SECOND: Add Ground Bison, Breadcrumbs and Grated Cheese. Mix well!

Third: Mix everything well and form mixture into round ball shape. Place on a cooking sheet and set aside.

FOUR: Pour  and warm Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a pot or pan on low heat ( I personally like to use something wide and shallow so my meatballs cook evenly). Add minced onion, minced carrot, minced celery and cook on low heat until tender.

FIVE: Add sauce once tender. Cook at med heat for 15mins…stir as needed. **Little trick**If sauce is too thick for your liking swish around a little bit of water in jar and pour into sauce.

SIX: After sauce has cooked for 10-15mins and place meatballs in sauce and cover. Cook at low heat for about 20mins.

 

You can serve them with pasta or on a roll/bun. They are so yummy and tasty and my kids love them. If you end up making them let me know what you think.
