Family Trip To Mystic, CT
The last few summers we have traveled back to Connecticut to visit family and friends. This year we decided to include a fun family trip to Mystic, CT. It was a wonderful way to break up our trip and to have some family time together.
Mystic, CT
Mystic Aquarium
Our family trip to Mystic, CT started at Mystic Aquarium. A special place that helps create lasting family memories. Also, a place that inspires generations to learn how to care for and protect our oceans through research, education, and conservation. Currently, Stonyfield Yogurt has sponsored a program that gives kids FREE access to zoos and aquariums across the country. Click HERE for more info on the program. Did you know you could spend the night at the aquarium? Next time we want to do their family overnight stay! How cool would that be??!!
The Treehouse at Oyster Cub
After the aquarium, we headed to the historic downtown area of Mystic. We had dinner at The Treehouse at Oyster Club. It’s a fun super casual outdoor place with pretty views of Mystic. All their food is local and fresh. They also grow some of their own veggies and herbs. One of the best meals I’ve had in awhile. If you are in the area be sure to check out their Happy Hour! The. best. specials! Ask for the cucumber smash drink!! YUM!!
Hilton Mystic
We stayed at the Hilton Mystic, which is located right next to the aquarium (making it SUPER convenient with the kids). The hotel has very nice amenities such as, movie night at the pool, outdoor sitting area with a fire pit and their in house restaurant, The Irons. The hotel does offer Aquarium Packages making it more affordable for families to travel to the area.
We had the best time in Mystic. Great town to visit with kids.
Hope you found some of this info helpful in planning your next trip to Mystic.
Thank you for stopping by to visit me!
Much Love,
Alley
