How To Create An Easy Halloween Charcuterie Board
Halloween is the perfect time to get creative with your snacks, and what better way to celebrate than with a Halloween-themed charcuterie board? I’m not one to overcomplicate things. I always look for ways to for something to get done, easily. Here’s how to create a Halloween charcuterie board that won’t take much time to make and you most likely have some of these ingredients already in your home.
What You’ll Need
A Board or Platter
- Select the board or platter you will be using
- Spooky Halloween decorations (use plastic ones so that you can wash them before /after using)
- Cheese
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Crackers/ Bread/ Dessert
- Garnishes
How to Assemble Your Board
Plan Your Layout
I started by using a round large wooden board and placed the plastic skeleton in the middle. Start by arranging your board with the larger items first. Place them strategically around the board to create balance and visual interest.
Add the Meats & Cheese
Arrange your cheeses and meats around the board. For a Halloween touch, I placed the meat inside the skeleton and moved the arms and legs around it. You can also try to shape some of the meats into spooky figures or use cookie cutters to shape cheese slices.
Fill in with Fruits & Vegetables
Place your fruits and vegetables around the board. I used grapes and carrots to fill in any gaps and create a colorful display. I placed one half of the items on one side of the board and the other half on the other side to create symmetry.
Add Crackers & Bread
Arrange crackers and breadsticks in clusters or stacks. You can also place them in small bowls to keep them tidy. For this Halloween charcuterie board I used crackers and desserts.
Garnish & Decorate
Finish your board with Halloween decorations like mini pumpkins and faux spiders. Use garnishes like olives and nuts to fill in any remaining gaps. My kiddos don’t like olives so I didn’t add any to this board.
With a little creativity and a touch of Halloween magic, your charcuterie board will be the star of your festivities. Enjoy your spooktacular creation and have a fun Halloween!
