Reasons to Stay at New York Hilton Midtown For Macy’s Day Parade

This past November my daughter was asked to perform in the 96th Macy’s day parade in New York City. This was an incredible opportunity for her. And for me, since I would be able to travel with her. Plus we both would be able to experience this legendary parade that has been taking place annually since 1924. If you are traveling to New York City for the holidays wanted to share my top reasons to stay at the New York Hilton Midtown For Macy’s Day Parade.
About New York Hilton Midtown
This stylish 4-star hotel has recently had a massive renovation and redesign. The hotel has about 1900+ spacious rooms that make it appealing for business and leisure travelers from all over the world. Onsite the hotel has a lounge bar along with two different restaurants. It also has a fitness center and business center onsite. Daily valet parking is available with in and out privileges.
When I stayed at the hotel I stayed in the Hilton Club. Which is part of the New York Hilton Midtown but the Hilton Club had designated floors. Check in for the Hilton Club was specific floor and all Hilton Club guests had their own concierge as well. Hilton Club guests received bottle waters whenever needed. This made it great for me as I stayed at the hotel for 7 days. Whenever I needed bottles of water I would call to have some sent up to the room.
Whether you stay at the Hilton Midtown or the Hilton Club you won’t be disappointed.

New York Hilton Midtown For Macy’s Day Parade
If you are staying at the hotel, the hotel offers a viewing section out front on the sidewalk that is sectioned off and only guests of the hotel have access to it. My recommendation would be to get up REALLY early to stake out your spot. If you want to claim the best views, waking up early and waiting in the cold will be your best bet! Streets start to fill up at 6 am.

Some people brought small blankets to sit on and brought some snacks and drinks. Something to consider. Once people start filing into the viewing area it will get packed with people and it will become difficult to use the bathroom as it gets closer to the start of the parade. I also did see a family hire people to wait in their spots for them. I have no idea how they want about hiring those individual but I am sure if its something you really wanted to do you could find out how with some online research.
